He didn’t buy an EV because he wanted to “save the planet.”

He bought it because fuel prices are exhausting and the math finally made sense.

Then the first real problem showed up. Not speed. Not comfort.

Range anxiety.

Not the dramatic kind where you’re stranded on a highway. The everyday kind that sits in your head and makes you over plan simple drives.

Before leaving, he’d do a whole checklist without calling it a checklist

battery percentage, traffic, backup route, and the quiet question that never left

Where am I charging if this doesn’t work

What range anxiety actually is

Most people think range anxiety means fear of running out of battery.

In real life, it’s fear of uncertainty.

Will the charger be available

Will it be working

Will it be blocked

Will someone tell you to wait

Will you have to figure out payment on the spot

That uncertainty makes even short trips feel heavier than they should.
